The human on the timeline
Tested by Fahim Mahmood
I'm a software engineer who builds with AI tools every single day — automation, content pipelines, data mining — and who also has to edit his own video footage. That combination is rarer than it should be: most AI-tool reviewers are marketers reading feature lists; most editors distrust AI entirely.
I sit in the middle: I can read the API docs and the timeline. When a tool claims "automatic captions with 99% accuracy," I know both how hard that is technically and how it feels when the output mangles your name.
The rules
1. Every verdict comes from running the tool on real footage — never from a press release or another review.
2. When something breaks, I say exactly what broke and on what setup.
3. Affiliate money never touches verdicts, and every monetized link is disclosed.
4. Tools change fast; I re-test and update rather than letting old verdicts rot.
Questions, tool requests, disagreements: the contact form arrives with the site's next update — for now, find me via the sites linked in the footer ecosystem.
